Chrissy's Craziness

Welcome to my randomness! After much hesitation, I finally came to my senses and created my own blog! In this place, I have the opportunity to share my faith in the One and only Jesus Christ. Shallow

I am a substitute teacher. No, that's not what I am. That's what I do for a paycheck. Normally I sub at schools that I feel I have some sort of chance of teaching at. Thursday, however, I went back to my old stomping grounds: high school...twice.

I subbed for a Spanish teacher...you don't want me to teach you Spanish. For the most part, I had some really good students and well-behaved classes. Oh, but one class...hmm...well, let's just say I'm glad they were near the end of the day. Why come to school with your hair messily (real word?) thrown into a bun and then complain that you look like crap. Take 5 minutes to brush your hair, style it, etc.!

Then, if you are going to put in the effort to come to school, why try every single trick to get out of class. At one point, I was so irritated, I told them to lie to me if they wanted to leave. At least then they were the principal's problem. I'm just a sweet, naive substitute who was taken advantage of. The teacher left me a note with names of students not allowed to leave the room for any reason. One of the students yelled at me in front of the class because she was mad I was pin-pointing her. Get over it! Why come at all? Take a look in the room, see that there's a sub, then leave! (I'm normally not for skipping class, but if you're going to refuse to do the work, get out of my hair!)

Why is it that the trashy, grunge--or whatever they call themselves--why do those kids hold themselves in such high regard. Like they can walk all over my cute little well-dressed, well-intentioned child? Just because she does her work without complaining, asks questions when she doesn't understand, refuses to fail due simply to confusion or poor teaching. I guess that hits home....she is my sister.

for your sister - you are a smart beautiful young lady. Don't worry about what others think, He loves you and you are His focus. And besides, they won't matter a few years from now. You're too awesome to let people bring you down.

to big sister - I think it's awesome that you are so passionate about protecting lil'sis. You are both awesome women whom God loves and one day you'll be rewarded for the work you do in His name. Just think, at least He's showing you were NOT to work. :) I'm sorry this was a bad day for you. I hope it gets better!

Praying for you both.
